Mauro Cappelletti can be considered one of the most indeed, perhaps the most outstanding scholars in the field of the judicial process in general and comparative procedural law in particular. He was professor in Firenze and in Stanford and published a large number of books and articles on civil procedural law, constitutional law, comparative law and European law.
